Harmar Elementary School Ratings & Reviews
My daughter has attended kindergarten at Harmar this year and had a great experience. Every time we have had any sort of problem, it has been taken care of immediately. The staff all know my daughter and care about her. My main complaint is there doesn't seem to be much opportunity for parent involvement. I also don't like the fact that pop tarts and juice are offered as "healthy breakfast" options in the morning. But I just make sure to feed her before sending her to school. That aside, we have loved the school and my daughter has grown a lot academically and socially.
This school is awful. They let your kids burn up in the summer freeze in the winter. It's dirty with roaches. And there is a serious bullying problem. The principal is nothing more than a bully herself. And talks down to people that are just trying to help there child.
Both of my children attend this school. The teachers are creative, patient, kind and inspiring. The school staff is friendly and helpful. Everyone truly seems to love our kids. Both of my kids are extremely intelligent and both of their teachers are going out of their way to challenge them to keep them motivated and encouraged. Love this school!
Worst school I had ever attended in my life. Teachers bullied and allowed bullying. I was slapped in the face by the coach as a child and called names like trash by my homeroom teacher. Principle was horrible. After a paddling for something I didn t do, he laughed at me and called me a cry baby because I fell over and cried. I had pictures taken of my rear and bruising. My parents threatened to sue but didn t. They should have.. I have six children now and would never ever send one of them to this school. I have all my worst memories while in this school for only two years. I lived across the street. Parents should reconsider sending their children to this school.
