Anderson High School Ratings & Reviews

Anderson presents high test scores, but they gave in to a bullying mob with regards to the mascot issue. It’s absolutely horrendous in the year 2018 to have a racial slur as a team name, and a charicature for a mascot. They venerate a track coach who says “we need to get over slavery,” and who derides Islam. It’s a backwards approach to education, and I wish I’d made a different choice for my children.

Unfortunately, Anderson High School has become an incredibly divisive atmosphere because of the school mascot issue. The kids are caught in the middle and the school board is afraid to do the right thing. If you are interested in a 21st century education for your kids, I would not recommend Anderson High. If you are interested in returning to the 1950's, the days of sock hops, poodle skirts and Chubby Checker, you will probably like it there.

From what I heard and read about the Forest Hills School District, I believed these schools were decent. Wow... What a huge mistake. If you love your children, invest in their future early. Most important years for a child to gain structure is the First through Fifth grade. So do your homework Mom and Dad!

I graduated from this school in 1979 - and I had a very positive experience during my time there.

Believe a parent when they tell you to find a better school. Some parents left the Township so their children could attend the Mariemont School District. Others left because they were not welcome to participate with the teachers at the schools. I miss friends that left and my children miss their classmates. My regret is that I didn't take notice sooner to place my kids at a better school district. Too late...
