I'm a student who is in 6th grade and is currently attending this school. I think the amount of cameras is completely unnecessary. Way too many, I feel as if I am being watched every step I take through the hallways--that's because I am. I also think that the teachers are going through lessons far too quickly causing tests and or quizzes too early, giving students not enough time to process what they've been taught. Teachers (well, only the teachers I've had classes with of course) and principals are way too pushy and harsh. Although, the teachers I have for music, computer, and art are very nice and explain the current lesson more clearly than the "core" class teachers do (half the time). Another reason I am not very comfortable with this school, is that I am even being watched as I eat. Yep, cameras in the cafeteria as well. The several hallway cameras are completely ridiculous, but the many lunch room cameras are just taking it too far. Lunch is my only time to really interact with friends and have a fun part of my day, but the fact that I'm being watched just ruins the fun I am provided to have with friends. Overall, I really do not think this school is good--whatsoever.

The school itself is horrible. The admiisttration, namely principal Rodriguez s the worst of all. Very bad, TOO MANY REDICULOUS RULES THAT DON'T MAKE SENSE and no empathy for students whasoever. Howve, there is some exceptional talent on the teachers side of the equation. Mr. Petry is te smartest teacher I have ever had.

The school is a very nice school. It is very clean and sanitary and has many high test scores. HJH provides kids with the opportunites that they need to be succsesful in life. The guidance staff is very helpful and can switch classes if needed. Honors program can be sketchy at times but is very good none the less. A 7th grader has an option in being in a certain house upon entering. This is all worked out in the last year of elementary school when forms are submitted. There is 'Creative Art and Media', 'Law and Forensics', and 'Law and Government. Students chose a foreign lanuguge Spanish, Italian and French. The principal is 100 percent understanding of anything and can be very nice. all around good school.

This is my childs first year main streaming into a school. The principal has been 100% upfront, honest and willing to assist for the best of the child. They have had constant contact/updates for me and have successfully accomodated the childs needs. The staff/teachers have been great for the most part. I do think more effort must be spent on academic achievement for the child with special needs in order to maintain the same level of academic studies that would apply if in regular classes versus in 1:1 small class specialization. These small specialized classes are not given the same academic structure and choices of study because they cannot function in regular 30 student classrooms.
