My child has been there for 7 years and has had a wonderful experience. It's very challenging academically. The school has high expectations for the students. If your child is up for that, it's a great school. It's very diverse and you learn a lot about other cultures. My child has traveled to several other countries with the school.

I've attended T-D since 8th grade and loved it ever since. Most of the teachers here are great. However, there could be more clubs, outdoor activities, and better tech. Also, the concept of FLCs are kind of weird, and apparently they've caused depression in some students. :(On the other hand, Mr. Fleming, our headmaster, is a really genuine guy, and if you take the time to talk to him sometimes, he will help you out when you need it. If he sees something in you that you don't, he'll come and talk to you. You'll see how eclectic* he really is when you talk to him. (*Eclectic in a good way - you'll see what I mean.)

Small class size a plus! School visits different countries each year, optional for lower grades. Head Master is not personable at all... Lower grade is subpar and not worth the money as school caters toward upper grades. Very little after school programs. No gym and children don' get enough outdoor excerise.

I went to this school for 3 years and I had never felt so low and self conscious about everything. That school destroyed my self esteem. I was treated like an outcast by the students for being socially awkward. I was treated like an idiot by the teachers because I couldn't keep up with the work that the kids with daily tutors could. Their stupid concept of FLC's (a meeting with the students and all the teachers to talk about everything the student has messed up on recently) left me in tears each time. At one point in on of my FLC's, my family's financial situation was brought up and used against me to guilt me into doing better. The finances are not the business of a pre-teen girl. This school expects each student to learn the same and meet their exceedingly high expectations. It is the job of a teacher to adapt to the learning methods of each student. After leaving this school and moving to my public high school, I had such a horrible time adapting. I eventually figured out that I had a learning disability. The school ridiculed me for being behind for something I could never catch up to without proper medication! Money is everything in this place.
