My daughter attended Ursuline for one year and was miserable. The environment is extremely competitive both academically and socially. This is not a place for girls who have any kind of anxiety issues. There is a lot expected of the students and there is little patience for girls who need more nurturing and support. If your daughter is hypercompetitive and very mature for her age, she might do well here, if not look elsewhere.

My daughter attended this school for a number of years. I'd like to share a few things that someone should consider when making a decision on whether or not to attend this school -There is a significant focus on donations. While this is fine and up to every individual to decide what is right for them, the girls who's families do not donate are at a disadvantage. The sports teams are "pay to play" - if you make a decent donation and are an average to below average athlete they will find a spot for you on the team. If you don't make a donation, it will definitely be much harder. This pay to play environment extends to academics as well. If you make a significant donation you can protect your daughter from bad grades (not sure you can buy A's - but it wouldn't shock me).The administration and staff do not really encourage the students to be kind and accepting. There is a ton of lip service about it, but that is all it is. The social environment is toxic and the administration takes a very "old school" approach to it. In particular I would say that the teachers and the paid coaches encourage an environment where there are girls that are "in the barrel." They do this by publicly disparaging students and showing clear favorites. The students are assigned advisors - this is a joke. They don't engage with the students and are not really there to help if the student faces challenges. Some of the teachers are talented and wonderful, but you need to be lucky enough to have a lot of exposure to them. If your going to send your daughter here - don't forget to make donations and line up your tutors and therapist.

Ursuline is wonderful place filled with caring teachers and faculty. My daughter has learned so much here, has been pushed to achieve her full potential and she has made great friends along the way.

The entire faculty and staff know who my kids are and care incredibly about their well being. They know who my kids are even before they have classes with them. The kids genuinely care for each other. They may not know every kid in the school but the ones they know are usually friends forever.

awful experience here..I was at a DISADVANTAGE when applying to colleges; academics are a joke. the social environment is awful, the girls and administration are catty and the teachers do not care about student success.. save your time and money and go somewhere else
