William floyd highschool has come a very long way in ten years they have jumped to an 86% graduation rate . That shows that the administration and the parents of the community are doing something right for the children.

My daughter was bullied by a student in the 9th grade. It was taken care of right away and it was never an issue again. In addition, my daughter had sever anxiety and needed to be home tutored for most of the 10th grade. The school was extremely supportive during this time and then invited her to enroll in Floyd Academy which was the perfect fit for her. She was on honor roll every quarter of the 11th gradea and is looking forward to graduating this year. There are many options at this school, you just have to reach out and ask for help. Some kids need help and it is there if you ask for it.

Super high taxes for nothing in return! My son is a good student, he tries hard, goes to class does own work, studies and makes the high honor roll every quarter. However non of this stops the fact that, that for the past three years he has been bullied non-stoo by the same three kids and nothing has been done! Countless, useless talks with both assistant principals and principals in both PACA and now the High School, still a blind eye. Apparently on their time my child is not a priority to protect. Yet I am expected to keep paying their salaries with my tax dollars and putting my child in their hand everyday. Not to mention this new level of indoctrination that seems to take place in the classroom. Apparently it is "Okay" for the Spanish teacher to spout politics on a daily basis. She rants about leaving the country, "not her president" and other such nonsence in a Spanish class for 9th graders. My political views are not Republican and I find this appauling! Her job is not is to be a political commentator.

My 3 children all graduated from the High School with High Honor Roll. Don't blame the school blame the parents. Teachers are not babysitters there to teach if don't control you children its not the teachers job. Get involved. Live here 28 years good and bad everywhere and I graduated Sachem High School no better there. Great Job William Floyd. Oh yeah 2700 students compare to the little schools Like Shoreham Wading River. Thanks Again
