I graduate this school in 2008. I had the most caring, understanding and helpful teachers and counselors. People may say it's a bad school, but you make the best out of your experience. The 4 years I was there I did what I had to in order to graduate. Thanks to the help of my teachers and counselors I went to college and not only graduated with my BS, but also my Masters. Now, I am a teacher myself. People need to start focusing on teaching their kids how to respect teachers, principals etc and take interest in their education. If students actually cared more about school or were taught how to, the things that go on within the school would be less.

The school is no longer the same school from 4-5 years ago. They have random metal detectors scanning and a police station center right on the sidewalk with cameras due to the spike in crime inside the school. There is no curriculum, there are no textbooks, graduation rate is at 63%, their afterschool program doesn't exist, the lunchroom is a war zone. The school is a complete mess. The school is rated as one of the top 10 worst in the city. It's a very dangerous environment.

This school curriculum is so bad the children get no textbooks. The guiance counselors say that they will help and never do. The pre med/teaching program is terrible. The children cannot use the lockers outside in the hallway. The principal is very lazy he does not do his job right. The only good thing I can say about the school is that the parent coordinator Angie Patruno and Ms Vasquez 10th grade guidance are the best.
