Generally a very good experience- the G&T teachers have been excellent. Sadly they don't have a language program but we're fortunate we can fill in that gap independently.

P. S. 7 is a community school that cares about the progress of each student. There are dance, art, musical theater, instrumental music and many other classes available at this well rounded school. The teachers are well educated, driven and dedicated to excellence and the academic performance of their students. Interestingly enough I have noticed that this school takes family orientation to a whole new level. Several educators are related to one another and some are even former students of the school. It says a lot that they recommended the location to family members to work in however it says more that the impact left by this incredible school has inspired students to return as teachers to inspire a new generation of learners.

P.S 7 is one of the best schools in the Bronx. It has an exemplary leadership team, which main focus is educating our children and providing the best possible experiences both educationally and socially. The school has excellent extracurricular activities in drama, painting and music. In the DreamYard program, my son traveled to different places and got exposed to the many different culture here in New York. I had the pleasure of having my boys attend this school. Great teachers taught my boys well and inspired them to shoot for the sky. Ms. Belen, Ms. Katz, Ms. Podlaski, Ms. Fox, Ms. McMaster, Ms. Linda, Ms. Cangialosi, Ms. Links (guidance counselor), Ms. Milka (nurse), Mr. Schaefer, Mr. Paterson, and many others, that I apologize for not remembering their names, have made a enormous contribution to my children’s education. There is no bullying at this school and I can really attest to this because about two years ago, my youngest son was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata Totalis, which is an autoimmune hair lost disorder. I can’t thank enough the teachers, principal, assistant principals and students for all the great support provided to my son. I will forever be grateful and wish you all the best in upcoming years.

(Part 2) There's meetings for everything. Other events require a $3 - $5 fee in order to enter the school yard of the school; I mean really and the school ask for donations for this event as well. This year in order for parents to obtain graduation ceremony tickets that would be held at M. S, 368 parents not older siblings are required to attend meetings where only two tickets will be distributed. This is outrages; parents work, the average family household size is typically three to four so parents are force to choose within and out of their household of siblings and immediate family members of who can attend their child''s graduation ceremony. What happen to distributing tickets to the students to give to parents. Even to get a verification letter that your child attends P.S 007 is structured and limited to only being giving out on Fridays in the A.M, which the time does not correlate by being shortly after 8am which is the latest that kids must be at school, parents must drop off their and either wait or go home and come back to obtain a verification letter.
