As a former substitute and current teacher (of 5+ years- not in BCSD) I can truly say the lack of leadership and disrespect from the principal was unimaginable. I had items locked in the teachers lounge stolen by students and her lack of empathy was unprofessional. I hope they have placed someone new in the position. Great students and some great teachers. Needs better leadetship and resources.

The bullying is out of control. Some children have violent behavior. They do not suspend the bad students because god forbid they lose that childs funding while they are out. My child has not learned half of what she should. I am sure next year when I move her to a real school in another district she will need to repeat 4th grade. And there is no parking for parent pick ups. Cars park on the street blocking traffic and blocking buses. I have witnessed many near misses and someone is going to be hurt at some point. No wonder they have a 3 rating. The whole district is awful!!

The staff do not know how to appropriately deal with difficult children. They do not take bullying as serious as they should. Feel they need to make a change in leadership.

My son goes to this school now and i know why they have such low test scores. They pass kids to the next grade even when they are below grade level at the end of the year. Eventhough the teachers are nice and willing to talk to you, they still pass your kid through and say its because he is younger than his classmates and that he will catch up later. My son is still having difficulty in the next grade. Im not letting them pass him through this year unless he is at grade level.
