School has gone downhill over the last few years. ADMIN is out to lunch. Only someone with a couple kids would notice the difference, otherwise you'd do your 3 years and get the heck out. It's bad. I would avoid it if at all possible. They made every possible cut to this school but they had (past tense), the dress code and Fertitta 15, so that was nice. But that is gone too. They don't enforce the dress code and the bullying is out of control. There is no supervision in the hallways, before/after school, these kids are UNSUPERVISED and UNSAFE and it's just a matter of time before something happens. Fights in halls every single day over nonsense. Kids are not in good environment and with a few small changes, subtle changes, they could make a difference for these kids and they just don't. There's no librarian, school patrol is never there, yet there's the admin cars getting detailed in THE CAR POOL LANE DURING drop off. Parents notice this stuff because it's getting that bad. We're late to work because you guys are not helping us drop off our kids. Help us help them.

We're new to this school and city. So far I'm not really impressed. I do, however, have a significant problem with the rule that if a child lives less than two miles from the school no transportation is provided. This is a huge problem for working parents especially given that school doesn't even start until 9 o'clock and doors are not opened until 8:30. Unless you live or work in the immediate area safety is a big concern and the problem of the family. This is not cool.

Just like any other public school teaching common core to receive funding except this school is in a halfway decent neighborhood.

My younger sister has been attending this ridiculous school for 2 years. When she first entered this school she was happy, excited and ready to make new friends and have new experiences. Sadly, the only experiences shes had here, are terrible ones. First of all they make you feel like your putting your child/children in a great school, that has no tolerance for violence and bullying, however this couldn't be any farther from the truth. During her 7th grade year my sister began receiving very threatening letters and notes in her locker. She had her locker changed a multitude of times, but somehow the letters continued to find there way into her locker. So we decided to go down to the school to see if they could look at the camera footage, in hopes of catching the person responsible. They told us that they wouldn't look at the cameras, because it would be impossible to know what time it was happening, and that they weren't going to look at all the footage from that day. She received a letter a couple days later, telling her that they (whoever was authoring these horrible letters) were going to come to her home in the middle of the night. A conference was scheduled by us immediately. During this conference with Mrs. Hathy, she had the audacity to say "Let me explain what bullying is." This just goes to show how "important" bullying is to them. Nothing was done voluntarily by the staff, we had to eventually call the school board in order to get any information from them, and the have them take any kind of measures to try and stop the problem. They never resolved the problem. They treat both the students and parents like they're stupid if you try to get involved in any other way, than the way they want. If you actually care about the interests of you child or children, I would find a better place to educate them. They are the future of this world, why are they not being treated as such?
