This is the worst school I have ever attended. The teacher's were not required to have teaching certificates in either general or special education. My own personal experience was that I was bullied by both teachers and students. While I was there for 5 years (2 years in high school), my academic progress remained was stagnant, leading to my parents choice to switch me to a better comparative school, not only where I flourished, but where the teachers were better qualified. I would advise staying away from this school, as you would be wasting your money. From a former student.

Both of my daughters have attended the Lewis School. My oldest graduated from the Lewis School while my youngest is still attending. Overall I have been with the Lewis School for over 14 years. I attempted to send my oldest else-ware to another school that claimed they were able to provide the same level of education. Needless to say it was a dismal failure and it was clear they were in it for the money. I have researched learning different schools in depth and have no question that the Lewis School offers the best education system available anywhere in the world.

As my child's time at the Lewis School of Princeton winds down (he is a graduating senior) I felt I needed to spread the word and let other parents know about this wonderful school! It has been five years since we began our journey as a Lewis School family and it has been a glorious time of learning and growing academically, athletically and personally for my son. He began in the summer session before 8th grade and stayed! This program has succeeded all our expectations. Although our highly regarded public school district tried to provide the necessary accommodations, it was not the nurturing, inclusive and safe environment conducive to learning that he craved. The absolute BEST part of the school is the dedicated teachers! They are in a class by themselves. Individual classes are created by experienced teachers each year to challenge and meet the needs of the current students so they can succeed. The athletic program is consistent and progressive. During my son's first year, Coach Fonder, the Cross Country coach, met him on a Saturday in New Brunswick to run his first 5K at Rutgers university and this August he will be a college athlete running on a Division 3 Cross Country team. Academically he has been honored to be the recipient of a Presidential Scholarship (full tuition academic scholarship) to Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Lewis School program works!

Each and every Wednesday is noon dismissal. Holiday, spring breaks are two weeks. Children with learning differences need consistency and routine. There is a general lack of communication with parents except teacher conferences. Email does not exist. It is nearly impossible to make a change to your childs program. You will have an easier time meeting with the President of the United States then with Mrs. Lewis. The head of school seems more concerned about building her legacy school then about current students. We feel that students are being kept here for their tuition revenue instead of staying for a few years for remediation. Choose carefully because the expense is high both monetary and educationally.

I attended The Lewis School from 1994-1998.. what the Lewis School did for me educationally, changed my life and made me the confident business person I am today. After Lewis School, I attended another prestigious Private School in the area that FAILED myself and my family in promising a 5 star education for one year. After that disappointment, I returned after 5years of being in private schools, to Public School. The Lewis School 100% prepared me with techniques that helped me achieve educational goals that I personally never thought I would be capable of. As well as giving me the confidence to embrace my learning differences, and never allowing it to prevent me from achieving any goals I have. One of the greatest experiences of my life, was attending the Lewis School. - A former Student
