We have had a fantastic experience with FASP over the past 2 years (2016-2018). We have a son and daughter in the elementary school and will definitely plan on sending our youngest once of age. Neither of our children spoke French upon entering the school and now both speak comfortably (they are not 100% fluent but can converse without problem which is amazing to see). I speak French fairly well, but it is not my maternal language and i had trouble speaking to them at French at home but once they started to pick it up at school, it has been much easier. They now teach me almost as many words as i teach them. The teachers spend a lot of time individually crafting the best learning experience for the students, the curriculum is strong but importantly they teach the kids to be good people with good manners. I would highly recommend the experience of FASP and a bilingual education to anyone (currently French speaking or not)!

This school is the bridge I was looking for between our French roots and our life here in America. I couldn't find a better place for my girls to reach this high level of education, academics and culture. I highly recommand it.

This is our first year in the French American School of Princeton (FASP). Our daughter joined mid-year in Kindergarten. Her English is very good. Her French at the time of joining was very basic.I speak French with my wife and English with my daughter. My wife speaks Spanish with my daughter. We wanted to have French as the common language.Initially, we were a little worried that our daughter would lag behind in French given that she was transferred mid-year. We realized later that we were over thinking it.I was amazed how in half-a-year my daughter just picked up the French language - to the point where I would see her playing with her dolls speaking in French.I also noticed that her personality has progressed dramatically. She is now more outspoken and confident speaking within a group. The Teachers were pro-actively keeping us posted of her progress. I highly recommend the French American School of Princeton for its academic qualities, attention to details, professionalism of teachers and administration staff.

Our daughter has had 2 wonderful years at FASP. She started in the preschool class without speaking any french language and today she is fully fluent, reads and writes. The school uses many different methods of teaching and certainly has great staff to do so. The teachers are very approachable and caring. One thing that we loved about the school was the creativity. The arts our daughter did in school are truly amazing. During any art projects The teachers would actually teach the kids so much about history, geography, biology, music and many others. Both year end shows that we attended were breathtaking! Our daughter has learned and grown so much over the last 2 years. Moving into the new neighborhood we wanted our daughter to experience public school education just like we did growing up. But we feel like we made the best decision to send her to FASP for pre-primary education. Not only that it got her ready for elementary school but it also created a wonderful experience that will always stay with her and us. Thank you to Carine Hinant and Marie Mathilde and all other wonderful teachers and staff!!

We are an English-speaking family (although one parent is fluent in French). Our children have attended the school since age 3 and are currently completing Kindergarten and 3rd grade. Our experience has been wonderful - the teachers and faculty are welcoming, supportive and responsive. The curriculum and philosophy of the school ensures development of all parts of each child: academic, creative, physical, etc. We feel this well-rounded approach is a gift and encourages our children to reach their potential. When our son had some challenges with his academic placement, the teachers and administrators were proactive in addressing our concerns and collaborated with us so that a satisfactory solution could be reached. As a result, he was accelerated a grade and has been much happier while maintaining his academic performance. We were very pleased that the school listened to our concerns and worked diligently with us to determine the right outcome for our child. Finally, we make use of the afterschool program and are very happy with the variety of extra-curricular activities offered as well as the structured homework assistance available. In summary, we highly recommend the FASP and will be very sad when our children age out. It is a wonderful school and a truly special community of families.
