This school has always had a sense of family, but over time with a new director on board, the school has made some significant changes to keep the school to the level it should be. Now that being said, the staff is under paid as well as under appreciated. The administration show no concern for the low moral amongst the employees there, neither do the board members. Most of the board members have children that attend the school, and sadly their decisions are not for the school, but for their own kids. It is even more dis heartening to see that more and more instructors are leaving due to verbal bullying from the administration and from certain members of the board. This school is definitely not what it used to be. The kids only suffer in the end.

I believe the change in regime has helped the school tremendously. The director, principal and trainers all work very hard to make sure the parents are heard and that the staff are trained well. Of course, the pay will never compare to public school, but there is a true family feel to working here. Teachers work very hard and always have the students best interest in mind. The trainers are now in the classrooms all day and this helps the programming move along. The aides all truly care about the students and take great pride in seeing the students succeed. I think overall the school has made some excellent strides to becoming one of the best in the state in ABA.

Hmm.... I'm inclined to agree with the earlier posts. However, a couple of the old board members recently left -- good luck to them, but they did nothing to improve this school while they were "in charge." Maybe things will get better now that they are gone. Tend to agree with the earlier comment that was made about the best years for this school being the earlier years. Why? They had Alpine as consultants and the focus really was on the children -- not on paying the big bucks to admin...that, and the first board members really knew what they were doing in terms of getting this school off the ground. With the departure of some really bad board members (who were there to feed their own egos and agendas), and new blood on the board, I believe that the school has a decent chance now of getting back on track -- at least I hope so!

I guess you teachers were part of the wave that abandoned the children and the school when there was a change in administration. We are better off without you.

I agree with the previous post about this being a disappointing school. Too much focus is on administration and not enough focus is on the teaching staff. I don't know the school's financial status, but they sure waste lots of money on admin staff that do nothing. All you need is the principal, program director, a secretary, and a teacher for each student...they waste so much paying big salaries to unecessary staff in these tough economic times. Take that money and get some quality teachers! I blame the board, certain people are there only for the glory and not for the school -- they are not governing, they are dictating -- these people should get off!!!
