Way too much homework. This is a school and a district that cares more about the testing scores and their tenure then acting teaching and helping children tearn. It's a reallty sad commentary that the homwork load is excessive to the point of abuse. My children used to love school and learning, now they hate school and are burned out from hours of homework every night, holiday, weekend and vaction time. The emphasis is on the (NJ ASK) testing and NOT on learning or the well-being of the child. There is no time for my children to explore non-school interests and there is little care on this impact on an entire generation of school children. The school administrators and the teachers are concerned only with potecting their jobs and appearances (testing results). What happened to school being about the students?

I like the school also my son was very outgoing now that he is in Midtown he is very outspoken and very well mannered. Now that he is entering the first grade I hope that he stays the same and the teachers.
