Awful. Absolutley awful. If you don't live in Mountain Lakes, don't go to Mountain Lakes High School. Students are not accepting of anyone who isn't rich and classy and "chill" about vaping like them. Teachers and coaches are family friends with students so it creates a huge bias, if you don't live there, don't bother going to that closed unfair world. The only reasons this school is praised is because it is only reviewd by the small, rich, and closed community living there. Trust me, it may have a great reputation, but if you don't live there, the people there, students and teachers with their bonds and lifestyles, won't let you succeed.

Mtn. Lakes H.S. deserves the high marks it receives in the rankings. We moved from Dallas to Mtn. Lakes when my daughter was going into her Jr. year. She is a rather shy, sensitive person who is very creative and artsy...not at all sporty. She found a great group of friends in Mtn. Lakes, and an equally great set of teachers who inspired her to learn and prepared her well for college. The school is known for its lacrosse team, but there are plenty of excellent opportunities for kids who are interested in the arts, and of course, those who desire an academic challenge.

This is a public school with a private school feel. I have two kids in school, an over-achiever and an under-achiever and both have gotten a lot of attention from the faculty and administration. I couldn't have asked for more. When you consider that you get to live in Mountain Lakes, and your kids get to go to great school system, what more could you want? Honestly, your money can buy a bigger house somewhere else, but then what? 1/2 hour drive to anything and everyything? Mediocre schools? Traffic? I wouldn't have left the city if not for finding Mountain Lakes.

First class school system where academic achievement is revered by both students and teachers. Attend a back to school night and see 22 desks and 44 parents. This is a town full of parents who care about the education and development of the children. Sports keep kids out of trouble and force tem to learn to budget their time. Both my wife and I graduated from MLHS and were well prepared for Competitive colleges and subsequent success. Now we are raising 3 kids here.

Mountain Lakes HS is rated as one of the best high schools for many reasons. It offers an excellent education, with small class sizes benefiting everyone from the faculty to the students. The extracurriculars are impeccable, with sports, drama and more continually recognized as high achievements. The students here work hard and their lowest goal would be anyone's greatest achievement. As a student myself, I love this school. It offers so many great things besides a good education. MLHS is filled with hard working students and teachers, that are -always- trying to raise the bar. I'm proud to be a 'laker' now and always.
