The algebra score is because these students are cherry picked based on their aptitude. This course is not offered en masse. Therefore, this score is misleading. Also, administration is lackluster/unreaponsive and some teachers severely lack classroom management ability. Communication with administration was poor. Principal was not responsive to multiple communications. Teachers and guidance counselor were definitely better. But overall, homeschooling or transferring schools would be the only options if I weren't leaving the district. I would not send my child back to this school and would rather risk being sued by the state than to send my child back to this school.

The staff at this school are very supportive with all the students and the principal is an excellent professional and a positive role model for all.

Helpful staff and very welcoming ,but my problem wasn't fixed yet with one person! So I have to go back again to the next step.

This Middle School is the greatest school I have ever attended! The teachers are awesome, teaching skills are great, its a safe school with at least 1-2 JCPD Police watching over to prevent intruders. MS 7 is always a good school. There are after school activities like Choir, Little Kids Rock!, Robotics, 21st Century and Drama (Acting). This school is practically a brand new school and is only 6 Years old. The staff and students are all nice. The school is also Strict about bullying which I find highly recommended with this school. Bullying can lead to either Saturday or Afterschool Detention or Suspension/ In -School Suspension. The Guidance Department Is Great and All required subjects in the school are easy. This is the best middle School in Jersey City Board of Education! I know this from experience since I attend this school.

M.S. #7 is one of the best schools I have attended. The teachers should do more, though. So should the students. The students are crazy and many of the teachers are unfair. They tend give detention if you do something like accidentally dropping a pencil and they tend to give tests about topics that were never covered and count that as a Post-Test instead of a Pre-Test. How great the school to students depends on which teachers you are given. Although many teachers I received did not and do not have good teaching methods, I was able to get through the years with hard work and determination. I am going to McNair and I know that my experience at M.S. #7 will not be forgotten. If your child is a hard worker and can adapt to multiple environments and difficult situations, this is the school for that child!
