I enjoyed my time here, for the most part. The academics were not strong at all and I was bored to tears in most my honors and AP classes. IB piloted for my grade, but I chose not to be in it. I had a fair mix of both good and bad teachers, did well in class, and managed decent scores on AP exams. The counselors are terrible. If you get injured enough to be out of gym for a good portion of the year, make sure your counselor knows. I tore my ACL before junior year and was out of gym all year following my November surgery, and my counselor came to me senior year and said I couldn't graduate since I hadn't passed gym that year. The school is very spirited and tons of people show up to tailgates, events, etc. The band is honestly the best part of the school.

I am going to be a senior at this school in September. While I don't love this school, I don't hate it either. It is a very safe place to attend school and there are some wonderful and motivational teachers here. With that being said, the teachers are not quick to discipline disruptive students, and the school is too small to accommodate the current student body. Also, there is no air conditioning when necessary. Overall I like FTHS, I'm glad I chose to go here.

I'm a freshman here, and I love the wonderful atmosphere here. We're a very accepting school, and generally speaking, most of our teachers aren't laid back nor very strict.

I went to FTHS and graduate here in June 2011. I reviewed this school before I graduated. I thought it was worthy of 5 starts then. However, based upon my experiences with my college education I have to say that this school was average to okay at best. The academics I've come to discover are extremely run of the mill and not rigorous at all. Slightly mediocre. The academics were mostly "busy work" that had no learning value to them and the workload was basically a joke. The teachers were excellent though. The admistration is great also. I still keep in touch with my teachers. However, while the staff and adminstration are good, the academics aren't. They are just mediocre at best and typical shuffle them in, shuffle them out mass production style. I had a rude awakening my first year of college because of this. This school while good in some aspects, is not so good and just okay in others. This school needs work to be 5 stars. All in all an average and just okay school with average to mediocre academics.

I am a 2008 FTHS graduate and a senior at a 4 year college (studying teacher education). I chose to become a teacher because of the amazing experiences I had at FTHS and the teachers that helped me to succeed. During my 4 years at FTHS I did not involve myself in extra-curriculars but I do not feel that that choice hampered myself because upon being accepted to every school I applied for, and choosing one that best suited myself, I found that I had the tools to then become involved as well as the tools I needed to succeed in a college environment. I had applied myself academically during HS which allowed me to enjoy my college experience even more. Overall, I had a wonderful 4 years at FTHS and would love to go back and teach there. Of course, due to my college's requirements and dual-degree teaching program, it may be a while before I can do that!
