Underwhelming. I would never send my child to EMS past 4th grade. The administration lacks values or a backbone. The music department is corrupt and makes students feel abused. Yes, there are some fantastic educators but they are far too old and out of touch with the children. The quality of education is sub-par at best. EMS made me feel like everyone was out to get me. EMS does not highlight creativity and in fact they halt it. Do your children a favor and send them elsewhere.

Very disappointing and damaging to my child's character and love of learning

I have had such a great experience at EMS, they really have done well, BRAVO! I'm really sad to be graduating, EMS is like a second home to me, and my classmates are all friends that I can go to. Anyone who doesn't realize this is daft and needs to see either Mr. Messler or a psychologist (which by the way, Mr. Messler says are pointless, so I suggest seeing Mr. Messler).

We has horrible experience at EME. It’s a long story. I was looking for an education lawyer to seek for help but decided that it would be the best not to deal with EMS for my mental health so we just walked away from EMS. My daughter is going to another private school nearby EMS and she regained her self confidence and doing so great. I wrote my review on their Facebook to share what I experienced at EMS with parents and they deleted it. They were getting some bad reviews and they deleted all of them and not accepting more reviews. Why??????????

"Although EMS used to be a ""family school,"" that has completely changed in the last 5 years. The new teachers they've hired are not attentive to the needs of the children and care only about the grades the students get and not at all about the students' well being. I've heard about teachers making derogatory comments towards students and the administration brushing it off even after the students go to then to complain. The administration favors kids with rich parents who are willing to donate thousands of dollars to the already wealthy school. EMS brags about their stellar arts programs, but in their music department there is an insane amount of focus on playing violin while any other instrument is virtually ignored. Bullies with rich parents are absolutely never punished and children who are being bullied have no one to report them to or seek help from. The history teacher who is now also the secondary school counselor is supposed to be helping the 8th graders find the right fit for their high schools, but she discourages some students from applying to the schools they love because she has picked favorites and they aren't on her list. EMS is no longer a ""second home"" for students, and I would never recommend this school to anybody. There are many private schools in the area that are far superior to EMS and that actually care about the well being of students and do not favor rich, white, students."
