This school is disgusting and the staff is only focused on sports. SATs and ACTs are not stressed at all and a horrific education is provided for any student's future. Most teachers are lazy and only care about their pay checks.

This school has given me ups and downs, but hands down the best four years of my life. It's conditions are slowly improving. The teachers are great and I feel comfortable going to any teacher if an issues arises. BUT, the guidance department is so screwed up when it comes to college and deadlines, so if you have a deadline to meet, get everything done early!

This school is a nightmare for any student that needs help even if just ADD. There are no supportive services and they'd rather place them in lower level classes than provide assistance or resources as they cost money. There is little communication and, as another pointed out, they often accuse students w/o knowing facts & are more interested in discipline than education. They do refer to psyciatrists looking for a mental or behavioral disorder when the student does not excel or when they act out. This is inappropiate in most cases as all evaluations are already done if a child has IEP and if they have not seen a psychiatrist yet then it has already been determined (by doctors) that a mental or behavioral issue is not a concern. When students have academic issues that turn behavioral it is often due to lack of resources and frustration. If your child attends here, consider what they tell you rather than believing in the school like I did. I believed they were going to help and constantly accused my child of being lazy and negitive. Students are humilliated when child study teams come into the classroom and make it known that a student is being called out for testing, etc .

School is horrid for special needs students. The ineffectiveness and lack of caring and compassion of the special education teachers contributed to the systematic bullying of my son over a period of 1.5 years. When my son finally snapped because no one noticed his behavioral changes or mood after the bullying incidents and he made inappropriate comments because he has low frustration tolerance, they punished him and made him see a psychiatrist. Stay away if you have special needs child......request out of district placement.
