I had an amazing experience at this school. They offer a wide variety of class levels including differentiated, AP, and IB. This is the only school in Lincoln that offers the IB program and one of six in the state of Nebraska. The student body of this school is also amazing. It exposes the students to diversity and people from all around the world. 54 total languages were spoken when I attended and it makes the school only more tight knit.

I’ve had my 2 youngest kids at LHS and my older ones went to Southwest and Southeast. I and my children are happy at LHS. They are exposed to all races, and socio economic classes, homeless children, single parents trying to finish high school and kids taking care of their families with their parents. We have a food bank in school and the kids can get help from a myriad of places. I am so proud to say this is where my kids go. We feel it’s the best in Lincoln!

AP/Diff programs had excellent teachers who collaborated thoroughly and provided unique and challenging experiences for students. The general experience of walking down halls filled with diversity, hearing 4-5 different languages, and playing sports with different nationalities gave an incredible character building experience. Lincoln High broke me out of the clique mentality that Middle School perpetuated. Great arts programs (theatre, band, etc). Great teachers who are involved and energized. Made life-long friends here.

As a student, and as a student of Lincoln High's chapter of the International Baccalaureate program, I couldn't be more proud of this school. The teachers here are involved with students, and really want to help us learn. It's a culturally diverse environment, and very convenient for Lincoln's High School Focus programs. The theatre, speech, and debate programs are excellent, and there are AP and IB classes available for students who excel academically. Lincoln High is top-notch.
