I am a student at this school and let me tell you what. DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL. The teachers at NRCA do not respect you one bit. They are here just to get a pay check and could care less for your student. It's very disheartening that a teacher will talk behind students backs and make them out to be the devil. How do I know this. Its because it's happened get to me right now. The teachers are out to get me and none will hear my side. The front office is even worse. The won't change a thing. We asked them about switching to block schedule because it's proven students learn better on block. They said they will not switch because they do not wanna spend the time and money to train the teachers to do block schedule. This is goes to show how ignorant this school is. Do not send you child here the just want you money and they will say the care for you but they really don't.

Our pre-k 4 year old's experience here was traumatic. Almost every day, we received a phone call to come pick him up early (they are only there from 9am-1pm as it is) because of his "behavior". Several times, I have asked if I could observe him in class and was never allowed to. Our son is very outgoing, strong-willed, and overly friendly. He is very outspoken as well, but not disrespectful. As a little black boy, we are raising him to express himself and be fully aware of who he is. He seems to not fit into their box. Academically, he excels, but they recommended he repeat pre-k next year. I regret sending him there and we are looking to transfer him to another school, but he was not given a good recommendation letter so it looks like he will be attending a public school next year. It may very well be a great school, just not the right fit for our family. Apparently, I am not the only minority parent that feels this way.

I regret pulling my child from another local, Christian school in favor of this one. We were drawn in by the facilities and the promise of a more up-to-date approach to Christian education, and at this price point, it was all too tempting. I knew we would be going to school with more affluent kids, and that didnΓÇÖt bother me, but I was not prepared by the attitudes of the staff. NRCA is focused on their high achievement scores and their one hundred percent college acceptance rate. They have zero tolerance for any child they seem to be a threat to that image. The Christian principles they supposedly base their education around are superficial. No matter the glossy picture they paint, the staff here are just as human as every other school and prone to the same faults in judgement. No school is perfect, but the attitudes of the staff are unacceptable. To put it frankly, I expected more.

I would recommend this school only to the best families in Wake County. If your child is intelligent, attractive, and can impersonate a Christian attitude around authority, they will fit in well. NRCA is concerned with one thing- image. Any student failing to live up to their standards is tossed to the curb. Moms, stock up on Lilly Pulitzer dresses and Jack Rogers shoes so you can fit in with the wives of medical professionals, lawyers, mega church pastors, etc. Dads, you should probably buy a boat, or at least boat shoes, Vineyard Vines shirts, and invest in season tickets to a local college football team. Be sure to post pictures on Facebook of your family in coordinating outfits in a field somewhere with a Bible verse at the bottom. Everything about this school is saccharine Christianity at it's worst, but if you fit in with those types of people, you will do well.

3rd grade was very good mainly due to the teacher so weΓÇÖd rate that higher 4th -6th grade the good outweighed the bad (which the school has plenty of). It got progressively worse after that on many levels. If you are looking for a school that has people that will give a Christlike example, you will be dissapointed. Our experience, especially our childΓÇÖs, was very bad and has given our child a strong diversion towards Christian schools because of the treatment he received which was wrong and unrighteousness at times.
