Fire Justine Mathews. He bullies parents who have their child there. I asked office what education does he have. I was told , donΓÇÖt know. I asked who was his superior. I was told, donΓÇÖt know. I called back next day in order for office to find out. Was put off. Was told to leave name and number and principal would call me. They r beating around the bush. Inept totally.

Very caring school, both teachers and administrative personnel. Care of children with learning disabilities are worked with hard to help the gain the most knowledge possible. Teachers also work very well with the parents.

This is a great school where students have the ability to have teachers and faculty that care about each individual.

My child started at MICS last year as a middle schooler. We had a very good experience with the school. Good teachers, good communication from the school and faculty and well organized events. Is it perfect? Of course not. No school is. Are there better schools out there? Sure. But our child was challenged academically, made friends easily and generally enjoyed her experience. In fact, she's looking forward to school starting up again in the fall. MICS may not be the right fit for everyone, but it's a good fit for us.

Our daughter spent a year and a half at this ΓÇ£drama/night clubΓÇ¥ until we were forced to pull her out. Her time there was the worst experiences since beginning school. Personal cell phones are used, at will, and become a tool for bullying, which the school cares little to nothing about. Nor, has any plans in place to use preventative education from a 3rd party, such as Law Enforcement or other outside professionals. The administrators are secretive, handle issues internally and with the most generic responses. Often making the parents feel like outsiders, leaving us with more questions than we started. 5th, 6th and 7th graders walk the outside area with minimal supervision and often talk and use hand gestures to curse and mock so-called friends. During a recent lockdown kids were outside wondering around for hours while it was thought another kid was coming to the school to commit a heinous crime. Some kids locked themselves in rooms and called their parents, huddled in a corner looking for direction. Others played basketball. Again, a delayed and generic email was sent concerning the potential life threatening situation. Some parents were never directly notified by the school, at all. Their electronic systems for notifying parents of their childrenΓÇÖs grades are ALWAYS delayed, making us believe our kids are getting zeros on most of their test and skewing their total grade average for weeks on end. About time they catch up and input grades, itΓÇÖs too late to make up tests or do anything to educate our kids at home.If you are considering this school, I encourage you to spend an hour at the school, mingling with the kids during the time they are let out. What a mess! It will take us a life time to de-program our child from the issues brought on by select students and staff.Seeing other reviews, I am just one of the many parents frustrated and feel the need to call out our experiences and opinionate them in this forum.
