Should have graduated early. Terrible, especially Dr. Guy who cares about money more than students getting to school.(:

Three kids attend LKNHS. They have great AP classes and a variety of courses to choose from. Leadership is organized and school is a supportive and safe learning environment. Smart lunch has helped my kids excel to finish homework and get teacher tutoring during the day at school. Many opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities.

One of the worst experiences. The student schedules are never accurate. The administration is lazy and ineffective. The faculty is on autopilot giving the same tests year after year which kids pass down to each other. They make kids just copy notes instead of actually teaching these students. I could not be more disappointed by the admin and most of the faculty. There is no school spirit or sense of pride from the students about this school. The teachers vote on Homecoming Court, no pep rallies, no one dresses up during Spirit Week. Most students including mine can't wait to get out of there and many early graduate to do so.

My child's experience at this school was a main reason we chose to leave the school district.

We moved here last year from NY, and a very small school district. My son started 9 Th grade in LNHS and was apprehensive because of the size of the schhool, but after one week, he was good to go! The teachers are great and stay in close contact with you and actually answer your emails daily! I love the way they split up the semesters too. In NY you had 9 periods which included every subject plus an elective, making homework time very daunting,. Here, they split the major subjects in half ( ex. Math & English first half year/civics & science second half ) and spend quality time on each...plus you get your electives..(many to choose from) and it makes the day more enjoyable.. Studying for tests is also easier this way. Lunch is an hour long... And they have 'smart lunch' , which teachers schedule certain days that the kids can go to for extra help. My son is going into 10th and is actually looking forward to start! So far..so good!
