I had 2 children go through this school from K-5. It was an overall wonderful experiences. They were engaged, challenged and loved. I couldn't have asked for more.

Not good. This schools main concern other that test scores and collecting $ is to have the perfect child. I am all about strict but this is nuts. First off 3 rd grade BEWARE! Few good teachers but one in particular a big bully!!! The administration does nothing about this teacher either she gets away with it. I am not one to write a review but she is terrible in fact parents talk about her constantly, children say how mean she is . Please beware going here and if they are going into 3rd I wish you the best of luck.Hopefully this school realizes that they have some teacher bullies on staff and do a major clean up!!!

We have two children at HES. Our kids are both challenged and nurtured at this school. The teachers have all been fantastic. The principal is a nice, caring individual. We couldn't be happier with our experience at HES.

The school advocates their "positive dog" which often makes overworked teachers feel like complainers. My son has been at this school for 3 years. I can name over 14 teachers who left. I have seen teachers crying in their classroom because of the stress and lack of support. Children are a "test score rating." They are overworked with boring cold reads just to pass a test. But hey... they got their "A" school rating. That's all that matters. We luckily got into LNC for fifth grade. It's a WORLD of difference. I feel for HES teachers and children. The principal is a kind man. I wouldn't want his job. The assistant principal is not trustworthy and fake. They also have a literacy facilitor but I think she's the reason so many good teachers have left. I believe their are worse schools in CMS. The teachers want to care. They just don't have "time" to care.

Our child attended 2-5 at HES. There is strong parental involvement and our student had great, caring teachers.
