Baldwin is a great school. I have a 5th grader that has been there since Kindergarten and I also have a current Kindergartener that started in PreK. Every single year my children have had caring and competent teachers. I never have any issues keeping communication with the school and I really enjoy their new comprehensive curriculum adding the IB model.

My child goes here we have had several problems in regards to his/her safety. This school picks and chooses when they want to follow school procedure and when they dont. You can't seem to get the principal to do anything because hes more worried about making or keeping a friendship with his coworkers and hes just not confrontational he has no backbone. Ive seen teachers use their authority in the wrong way and kind of bully children ive seen teachers putting their hands on children which I dont think is ok but wont worry about it until it involves mine. Whatever concerns I have I go straight to the board of education and thats kind of sad because the principal should be able to do his job. Im not saying all of the staffbis bad but I do strongly feel some shouldnt even be working with children. I dont know if its due to non parent involvement but I am very involved with mine but some of what I have seen is not ok. This school has no structure and the feel they can go against what the boary policy is this school really needs to get it together.

My daughter came home from her first day of Kindergarten already knowing how to sign the ABC's. The teachers at Baldwin are always coming up with fun ways to teach. My daughter loves her teacher there. We will be sad to move. I have nothing bad to say about Baldwin Elementary!

Love that they have so many great opportunities for me and my family to be a part of the school setting. Reading night, book fairs and parent nights, they keep us informed and up with our children's education. Thank you!
