This is an excellent school. I have been reading these reviews and find many of the negative comments to be utterly ridiculous. A claim of mediocrity is not a small insult, and Hendersonville High School (HHS)is far from barely adequate. There is a continuous pursuit of excellence that drives both faculty and students at HHS. As a student there, I knew my teachers were sincerely interested in my success and eager to help me prevail. HHS has great extracurricular options that in fact do allow for much growth as an individual as well as a team player. HHS is a comparatively small school and as such, it is very easy to familiarize oneself with the faculty and fellow students. Students are not merely names on a sheet of paper at HHS, or merely boiled down to score grades, HHS faculty makes a diligent effort to make everyone feel welcome and to help them achieve. As I near completion of my undergraduate education, I am pleased to have been able to call HHS my home for four years. The education I gained there has been invaluable to me and something I took for granted while I was there. I am grateful for the tradition and excellence HHS presented me with, others are not as fortunate.

HHS is not just a school but a real family. Everybody is so spirited and full of life. I am so proud to be an alumnist.

I love my school! HHS is a very open school with a very diverse crowd of people. It seems like we have a club or something that intrests everyone. I play three sports for the school and take 3 honors classes. School is hard work but I believe HHS prepares you to be ready for the reality ahead.

The academic stride for excellence overshadows the delapidated condition HHS. The lame attempt to get the mentally, and physically handicapped children to clean the school is nothing more than a joke. As I close out my final of four years at Hendersonville I find that my education is very lacking. I was taught only what is required by state-mandated tests, leaving no room for personal exploration. Sure there are twenty-two clubs to join, but those clubs have the same 'top notch' students in them. There is a blatent lack of electives to choose from, leaving many people to question the variety of occupations. Hendersonville gives the image that only the top ten percent of each class are the role model students, when in reality those students just pressure themselves more and more to be better than the others and do not focus on who they are as an individual.
