Ever since I started 7th grade my self esteem has gone way low. Also, the school itself is bad and gives off bad vibes. The teachers seem to careless about the middle schoolers. I'm not going to lie I really dislike my school.

I am an 8th grade student. The first thing I would like to say about this school is that I have never been more disrespected by group of grown people in my life until I came here. Most students here participate in extra curricular activities and we are completely drowned in ridiculous homework that is almost impossible to complete unless we get 4 hours of sleep every night, which is how much most of us actually get, believe it or not. If we don't turn in work the day it's due, we're told we are failures. Literally. The school does not understand that we are people, not robots, and we have other things to do besides isolate ourselves from our friends, family, and the world because we are too busy with schoolwork. Now, most of the reviews on this site are from parents who have absolutely no clue what it's like at this mentally draining school, so please, take it from me and multiple other students who are forced under the authority of downright disrespectful people and just know that this school has been bad for my overall mental health and self esteem. I should probably get back to watching an hour and a half long video and writing an essay or I'm going to get told I'm a failure.

Cullowhee Valley is a good school - Great for a public school in NC. I just finished working during the day on the new playground which with a bunch of wonderful parents, community members, and college student volunteers. As a parent, I think we are on the right path, but take every chance you can to voice your ideas, opinions, and needs to your teachers, the principal, the school improvement team, and the PTA. People do listen.

CVS is an awful school in a terrible school district. It is currently devolving even further down, into a kids are cattle, group think mentality under new this principal. There is a putrid stench everywhere, and a general bad vibe. This entire school district needs to be deeply investigated and revamped from top down. The local population is so dumbed down that they just follow right along into the sausage grinder mentality of NC public schools. Just like WCU, there is nowhere to go but up from here. Funny that the faculty members have posted all of these positively fake reviews on here!

able to do much with limited resources. I'm always amazed at the ingenuity of the teachers and staff and grateful for everything they do!
