Pioneer Springs Community School Ratings & Reviews

I believe the school would be better suited to be a k-5 school. I do not see the current administration being able to forge ahead through creating the middle school and high school. There is still a lack of planning/communication to parents as well as a seemingly lack of urgency in building that path. In addition, the 5th and 6th grade students are required to participate in things like the "Fairy Tale Ball" right along with the kindergarteners. In addition, there was no health education taught to the 5th graders and the DARE program was omitted completely as well. There seems to be an almost denial that the children are growing and need to learn and be exposed to things they will face as teenagers and young adults.

Really great school! The staff are friendly, helpful, and highly dedicated. With a culture that is increasing prioritizing test results over emotional and psychological development Pioneer Springs is a welcome alternative to the traditional school system. I have great faith in the teachers there to teach through experiences rather than just a book.

This is the best year we have ever experienced for our daughter. The personal attention to our child from the Pioneer Springs team has helped her blossom with confidence and enthusiasm about learning. Their focus on nature and hands on learning, and being outside a lot during the day has made her subjects come alive and she loves it. I am very grateful this school exists!

Teachers and staff care about the students and it shows. The unique learning environment fits our kids well.

RUN!!!! PSCS is no more than a daycare. They thrive on the cute events like the Fairy Tale Ball, ArtSpring, etc. Unfortunately, they do not educate children. They play outside in nature, but they do not teach nature. The founders/administrators have no professional educational background. If you are looking to unschool, PSCS may work for you. It's so sad how they promote the school with fake promises and outright lies.
