Awful school with terrible leadership; the principals have no business in the positions they're in at the lower, middle & high school. They're experts at viciously bullying families though & they don't support anyone who doesn't drink their kool aid. Don't even think about offering suggestions or make requests. This school is continuing to experience the MASS EXODUS it has been creating over the past decade. Follow those who leave and GET OUT! There are many better area schools. Tuition is rising without offering anything for the high cost except to increase the administrations' salary. This school has become the worst private school in all of Asheville and WNC

Abysmal. Given the cost, which is more than UNC system (alsopathetic) you really have to drink the KoolAid to buy in...

Horrible, Total waste of $$. Academic rigor is significantly lacking. More concerned about social nonsense and feelings. College acceptance list is PITIFUL.

This school is what every resident who lives in Biltmore Forest is looking for: Over priced tuition, entitled, privileged families where those with the biggest bank accounts run the school. It's not hard to influence the administration with your tuition check because they lack in having any kind of morals or character. Bullying happens quite frequently without being addressed and that's just from the administration. Families and students are bullied by principals, teachers, and counselors. The Board's latest decision to hire the current head was the poorest choice made in a long time. Why bother using expensive companies to search for leadership if you're going to hire people who behave in the same way as the one being replaced? Can't say enough about the despicable behavior from the head of school and principals, especially at the Key School, Lower & Middle school. The number of students leaving this school is hopefully a warning and sign to all. Don't bother considering this school and pass on the warning to others that ANY other school in the Asheville area- public, charter, private- is much better quality than Carolina Day. Of course, if you live in Biltmore Forest or the Ramble and drive a fancy car, and you like bragging about how much you pay for tuition and you also have no ethics and integrity then this school might be right for you.

This school has been on a rapid decline for several years due to its instability and lack of quality leadership. The administration has no ethics, character, integrity, and has been known to ruthlessly bully families, staff, and faculty. The tuition is unaffordable and you do not get what you pay for. There are many many other superior private schools in the Asheville area to even consider Carolina Day. There is no alignment across divisions at this school and there is no solid curriculum. The only good thing about this school is that your child will get good grades whether they perform well or not. Just threaten the admin. and teachers with taking your enrollment elsewhere and you will have power over them, especially at the elementary level. This is not the place if you're looking for a quality education with affordable tuition. Do your homework on the leadership at this poor institution and enroll in any other private school in the Asheville area. Can't say enough about how far downhill this school has gone in the past decade.
