NAMS is a great school. My son is an AIG student in the 6th grade at this school. We have had very positive interactions with the staff and the administration. Yes, this school is diverse and we are excited to see our son learning learning the skills necesary to function in a diverse society by interacting with students of different social and cultural background. Am very impressed wit the quality and caliber of the teaching staff at this school.

This school is horrible academically and socially. There is always racism from Hispanic kids towards others. While some 6 grade teachers seem to be great and really involved, others seem lazy and instead of punishing troublemakers, they punish everyone... That is NOT the answer! Why be a good kid when you get in trouble anyway. The sports/coaches need some changes made. They don't really teach sportsmanship well or give kids a good understanding of what being part of a team is all about. This school needs to see some serious changes, if not, Asheboro city schools will always be know for their bad schools, racism and low income!
