My oldest attended ASA from age 4 until age 10. It was/is an amazing school. She tested several grades ahead of her current grade in several subjects. I loved the emphasis on academics, character building, and developing the kids into future leaders. Kids are encouraged to advocate for themselves, and teachers are trained to listen and respect that. You will not find another school in St. Louis as academically challenging yet child focused as ASA.

I think it's sad when people write negative reviews based off of lies. First of all, this is a private school, no one has to take on your financial difficulties. Secondly, did you have an issue with the classes being combined and sleeping in the cafeteria the whole time your daughter was there while you accumulated over a $2500 debt with the school? You do know they have public schools that are FREE. Private schools survive off of tuition payments. It's not being money hungry, it's called being business minded. My child went to to this school from preschool thru 6th grade and always excelled in every subject. She is now a Junior at Westminster and is exceeding many of her peers. If you are looking for a great school with caring and loving staff who want to see all the children succeed, then check out ASA for yourself.

This school is terrible. Not only did they kick my 4 year old out because I was having some financial issues, but she also took me to court and tried to garnish my wages. The school smells, everyone is not friendly & my daughter always came home and complained about why she didn't want to go back and how the kids and staff were rude. They make the kids sleep in the cafeteria on cots after lunch. Not worth the money, they are some money hungry individuals. Would not recommend to anyone.

ASA is an awesome Christian School for the parents who want their children to succeed academically. It is a small school that offers one on one sessions, technology with computers and Smart Boards, Instrumental music, performances, and plays, They could improve by offering a sports team but that would take away from their current offerings, However, parents can enroll their children in sports or talent related classes in the evenings and on weekends.

My child went to ASA from pre-K through second grade. She started her third grade year in Hazelwood public school. She was so far ahead of the students in public school that I was considering advancing her a grade. She is in the 7th grade now and is taking Advanced math and reading classes. I was overwhelmed by the complements the teachers gave her during parent teacher conferences. I really believe it was because of her foundation in ASA that cause her to be academically proficient in her later years. The small class rooms and individual attention given by the teachers at ASA is priceless. Thank you Dr. Strickland for having such a well rounded school for us to go to.
