I only went to WIHI for one year before I moved to Finland, but it was honestly the best school experience I have ever had. All the teachers are phenomenal, and I really miss the life they brought to the classroom every day. They feel like friends; they really do care about your learning and well being. Tbh I can not gush about the staff enough. Thanks to their support and the school environment in general, I had a 4.0 GPA (and still do, in Finnish standards).I discovered my love for science (especially biology!!!) at wihi. The literature/writing department is AMAZING also. In just one year my writing improved so much; I can easily write an effective analytical essay in under an hour. I took French as a foreign language, and the French teacher (who unfortunately no longer teaches at wihi) was one of my favorite teachers ever. She baked us cupcakes (petits-gâteaux!) a lot, so that might have helped haha. Seriously though, she made French fun and easy to learn. Because the school is relatively small and new, the student body is so tight-knit! The diversity is refreshing, and everyone has something different to offer. It sounds dumb, but with the amazing staff and students, WIHI feels like one big family. When I was a freshman, the seniors were the first graduating class. They all went on to go to great universities (including Yale, Stanford, U of M..).I feel like there's room for improvement when it comes to after school activities. There are a lot of enrichments and clubs, but because the school is so new, they're not super developed (still really worthwhile though!). But there are all kinds of opportunities- like CAS, etc. I think in junior or senior year, it's required to do an internship for a certain period of time. It's been almost 2 years since I moved, but I still miss WIHI so much. If I could go back, I would in a heartbeat.

As a student at WIHI I was able to get a great eduction, the teachers are the best in the state - they truly care about the learning the students do that being said being a student at WIHI has been very frustrating. Cheating is a huge problem at WHI, teachers do the minimal to fix the problem that has infected the school and often turn a blind eye to the systematic cheating that is happening. As an honest student it is frustrating to watch your fellow classmates cheat on a test that they have stolen from teachers computers and desks. The administration has done nothing to the students who have cheated their way through the past 4 years. My parents always tell me the cheating will catch up to them and I am aware that it will I just firmly disagree with the way the administration turns a blind eye and ofter makes the lends environment to cheating.

Dedicated teachers, staff and administration who continuously challenge to be the best they can be! Truly a Godsend. All students should be as fortunate. Go WIHI!

Our family loves this school! The curriculum is challenging and the assignments require a lot of time and effort as well as engagement. Our daughter attended private school for years and we were hesitant to go public. We don't regret making the chance to this school. The school is small, diverse, supportive, and challenging. If you are not interested in spending the bulk of your free time on school assignments, don't sign up. If you are an international family, this is the place for you.
