Absolutely fantastic. The school is based on a brave and bold vision and it is executed with dedication by the administrators and staff and students themselves as a team who understand that ideals are not reality but they are still worth striving for in this world.

WIHI is a home away from home. It is a place where students can find their place and feel comfortable and cared for. The curriculum is rigorous and students are supported each step of the way by teachers and administrators, giving them the structure and building skills needed for success in the IB Diploma Programme.

A well rounded, forward thinking education. School is diverse, community minded.

This school notably altered my daughters future. She is a community minded, giving and caring young adult. She was deeply encouraged by the educators and administration of this school. She was prepared for every challenge, and encouraged to be herself along the way. She learned the value of relationship building and social justice. She will go on to be a fair leader and will be respected at her new University, she received a large academic scholarship. She will have to take very little loans, and will have a wonderful start at a career in medicine beginning with a BSN in Nursing backed by a minor in Spanish and Theology, and from there, who knows. It was a Nurse at one of the parent visits that introduced this intensive hands on nursing plan for her. She is a very joyous learner, and we are sure this is just the beginning for our daughter. Our family was so unsure how to even to begin to thank this working collaboration of educators for such a gift. We will be forever in gratitude. Caitlin A. Phillips

I only went to WIHI for one year before I moved to Finland, but it was honestly the best school experience I have ever had. All the teachers are phenomenal, and I really miss the life they brought to the classroom every day. They feel like friends; they really do care about your learning and well being. Tbh I can not gush about the staff enough. Thanks to their support and the school environment in general, I had a 4.0 GPA (and still do, in Finnish standards).I discovered my love for science (especially biology!!!) at wihi. The literature/writing department is AMAZING also. In just one year my writing improved so much; I can easily write an effective analytical essay in under an hour. I took French as a foreign language, and the French teacher (who unfortunately no longer teaches at wihi) was one of my favorite teachers ever. She baked us cupcakes (petits-gâteaux!) a lot, so that might have helped haha. Seriously though, she made French fun and easy to learn. Because the school is relatively small and new, the student body is so tight-knit! The diversity is refreshing, and everyone has something different to offer. It sounds dumb, but with the amazing staff and students, WIHI feels like one big family. When I was a freshman, the seniors were the first graduating class. They all went on to go to great universities (including Yale, Stanford, U of M..).I feel like there's room for improvement when it comes to after school activities. There are a lot of enrichments and clubs, but because the school is so new, they're not super developed (still really worthwhile though!). But there are all kinds of opportunities- like CAS, etc. I think in junior or senior year, it's required to do an internship for a certain period of time. It's been almost 2 years since I moved, but I still miss WIHI so much. If I could go back, I would in a heartbeat.
