We are thrilled with all of the new changes at WCA! As a parent of children at the school, I can confidently say that there is no other place I would want to send my kids. The teachers are amazing, the education is excellent, the classes are small, and our kids get so much personal attention. We are also grateful for the friends our children have made. It's a great school with lots of great things happening!

WCA has a wonderful family like atmosphere. The curriculum is challenging and educates the whole child. It is a wonderful place to have your kids.

Our family has attended WCA for more than 10 years. It has truly been a blessing and I wouldn't send them anywhere else. The faculty and staff truly care about students. There is a family atmosphere. I love that WCA is transitioning to a Classical teaching model with its focus on critical thinking and reasoning, instead of memorizing facts to pass standardized tests. A great school!

Praise God for all the good things that are happening at this school. I have been a parent here for a few years, and will remain a happy supporter of the school for a number more. I am saddened that the parent below has taken the opportunity of his departure to take jabs at the school and am prayerful that the Holy Spirit works on his heart and channels his energy more towards working for positive change in his own life and his families life, instead of trying to tear down what is being built up here at the school. I would like to point out that I completely agree with his point about "not paying $10000 fur study halls"...and apparently Mr. Laugen does also. The schedule this year is structured so that my child does not have any study hall...much less the option for multiple study halls that was a feature of the high school for several years. Probably not the most popular decision with some of the students, but I am grateful that there seems to be a reawakening of the commitment to excellent academics at the school. Also, students have the option of going to study hall or aftercare 5 days a wandering students allowed 15 minutes after the bell...and I support that fully!

We chose WCA because of the amazing family community feeling' Then they hired a new HS just before the start of school. Mr Laugen changed the entire student handbook during the summer before he even met the first student. Then things got bad from there. Nearly 50% of the high school students left in one year. Classes were canceled due to not enough students. This school has to have at least 6 students per class or it has to close the class. We didn't pay $10,000 dollars for study halls. Then He made a rule that no student can be in school 15 minutes after the last bell. He made a wonderful loving community close and turn cold overnight. My wife and I went to the board and they refused any help. WCA built a building 3 times larger than it's student enrollment. Now it has serious trouble making the needed payments on that building. Ask them this: How many elective classes are offered in high school? How many honors classes are offered?--None How many of your students go to public schools to get enough credits to graduate? How many leave half days to get honors classes somewhere else? What is the schools financial situation? Will the high school be here in a year?
