My son attends this school & it's amazing! Great teaching staff, tons of extra events (clubs, family & charitable events, etc), and all around great learning atmosphere!

I have had 4 grandchildren go though this school. Their parents are all happy with this school. It is an awesome elementary school, great teachers and a wonderful principle. They go a step beyond to help children succeed. I have a grandchild with a muscular disorder they provide extra care for along with one that needed extra support. Rockford schools are awesome!

My children have been attending Crestwood for five years now. My oldest is now a freshman at the freshman center, middle in fourth grade and a kindergartner. First off the principal (mrs. Reeves) is an amazing leader of this school. She always has time for parents and their concerns. I have had a total of seven different teachers between all of my kids, loved all but 1 and she is no longer there! I volunteer a little to what fits my schedule, but when I had a toddler at home I didn't at all and never felt pushed at all to do so. The teachers care about your children and always return my phone calls immediately. As far as size it is the same as most schools in west Michigan that aren't private. My children love to go to school everyday! Real family oriented school, and I have made lots of friends.

We moved to Rockford intentionally in 2004 from the east side of Michigan. The schools were the primary reason and we wouldn't change a thing about that decision. Crestwood improved our children immensely after moving here and all three were well prepared for middle school. I am baffled at some comments about 'too big'. There are numerous opportunities to connect with smaller community groups of students and the class sizes are reasonable and comparable to other districts. The parent involvement is over powering - so much so that you have to signup for a class party! This was not the case in Dearborn - for sure.

We moved into the Rockford school district just days before the school year started. We really had no idea what to expect, but we have been pleasantly surprised by how wonderful our experience at Crestwood has been! My kids both have wonderful, caring teachers who communicate with us. The principal (who is new this year) has been so welcoming. The poor secretaries have put up with my thousands of questions with care and concern. My son had a "run in" with another boy and I appreciated that the situation was handled by the staff without blowing it way out of proportion. My kids did come from a smaller school but they have adjusted well. I really don't think 3 classes per grade is too large. My daughter only has 23 kids in her class, which seems more than reasonable to me. I also love that there are lots of opportunities to volunteer, but I have yet to feel pressured into doing so. We came from a school that we loved dearly and I'm so happy that I can say we love Crestwood just as much!
