Before enrolling our son at Kinsbury, we never considered that someday we would want to help our kids send THEIR kids to school.. but now we would. It's that special of a place. They help build character and academic strength. The saying 'it takes a village' is the essence of the community atmosphere. Everyone (teachers, administrators and other families) all work together to ensure that every child realizes their potential. My son has grown more socially and academically in one year than I ever thought was possible.

We had high expectations when we started at Kingsbury. This is our third year here, and the school s programs have exceeded every one of them. I often wonder how the media stories across America would change if EVERY student could have such a school environment where the philosophy and curriculum help develop the WHOLE student. Students learn to respect themselves, their peers and the environment in ways I have never seen anywhere else. They learn that an active balanced lifestyle is just as important as academics. I ve never heard of another school that lets middle school students have an active outdoor recess; or one that offers an environmental study program where kids get outside to move; or one that teaches pre-teens how to successfully navigate through the confusing maze of adolescence, coming through the other side with strong minds and bodies. The integration of physical education, academics, and social development is amazing. And my kids love it. They actually cry if I tell them they are going to miss school.

My daughter is in the seventh grade. She has been a "Kingsbury Kid" since Jr. Kindergarten. Kingsbury's academic programs are challenging and engaging. I consider the Kingsbury Community of Teachers, Adminstrators, and parents as partners in my daughter's education and overall development as a student and fine human being. Thank you!

Kingsbury is truly a very special place. I fell in love with the school the first time I visited it 8 years ago. I have never doubted our decision to send our children here since that day. Even more than the beautiful location of the school, what makes Kingsbury so special are the people there. I have never met such a group of dedicated, intelligent and caring teachers. They have instilled in my daughter not only a great fund of knowledge but a true love of learning in a safe environment that encourages risk taking and inquiry . She looks forward to school every day. The Kingsbury classroom encompasses all 125 acres of the campus. No child is ever left inside. The class learned about, then built and camped in a Mongolian Yurt. The Kingsbury community is truly a special place that every child deserves to experience.

Prior to Kingsbury our oldest son attended a public school for Kindergarten and first grade. He left the public school system 'hating school'. He loved school prior to that but had a bad experience in the public school. When we heard about Kingsbury, the 125 acres they sit on, the environmental studies program, the way they teach to make learning fun and interesting, it really sold us. Our two boys have attended Kingsbury for the last two years and couldn't be happier! Every day when they get off the bus I ask them 'How was school today?' and every day they say 'Good!!' and they tell me about their exciting day. They are learning so much, the teachers really care about the kids and their education. There are a lot of opportunities for parental involvement but they are not pushed on us. I love that our boys love school!
