Muskegon Heights is a great school. I graduated from there years ago and went on to land a job in a Fortune 500 company, work my way up through the ranks while working on my degree and wound up. . . upon taking an early retirement package. . .as an employee who was invited back to consult for same company working in IT for another approximately 5 years. After leaving this employer, I worked for two other Fortune 500 companies in same field. . .with great success. Hold your heads up Muskegon Heights. . .there are many other alumni like me out there . . .many young MHHS ALUMNI~who are working all over this country and having great success!

I think that what these "so called" educated people or people that are supposed to be educated do to these children's self esteem is unforgiveable. . .getting on here belittling these kids. How should they react behind that! What I know for sure is that those children that graduate and go on to college have graduated from college , some with honors and they have graduated on time. If you get your "warm" fuzzies from criticizing Muskegon Heights. . .more power to you. . .Keep on excelling Muskegon Heights. . ."don't let nobody turn you around" . . .and, by the way. . .congratulations on your performance in the basketball finals this weekend. . .by rights the MUSKEGON win was yours also. ..most of those were Heights players. . .same wonderful kids that were at Muskegon Heights a year or so ago. . .still have that Muskegon Heights winning tenacity. . .get your education and keep making us proud! Make those critics eat their words! .

Sucks!! No supplies! No books! Computers don't work! Teachers try but otherwise the whole school sucks!

I am currently a teacher at Muskegon Heights High School and I can say that the school definitely has the needs of the students in mind when we plan school reform. Many students, parents, and community leaders do not understand the pressures that teachers are placed under by the state when it comes to preparing students for standardized test. With the inception of No Child Left Behind, that pressure has increased. I have read the reviews on this site and some have angered me, and some have made me smile. As a teacher, I know that myself and my colleagues come to work every day with the intention of giving 100% of ourselves to our kids. We come to work early and we stay late. We have things that we can do better, and we are headed in that direction.
