This schools sports programs are a joke! They have little cliques of kids that they cater to and it sickens me. The only good thing about this school is the principal. Most teachers are coaches and have 3-5 positions in the district. But again only good treatment to certain kids. They are not fair with all children and seem to be caught cheating a bit. It is just now being noticed by touching districts. IEP's are a joke at this school, they have the football coach review those!!!!! Hahaha such a shame I am so glad I pulled my children from this school last year so they don't have to suffer any longer. The school also flags all negative comments on here so no other parents can see them so beware

Is math not important to this school? Look at how these scores have dropped. What has changed for 2012 and 2013 that these scores have dropped like this.

I attended Jefferson after moving from California in the 3rd grade. I graduated in 99' Jefferson became my new home. Most teachers went above and beyond. Sports were coached with passionate coaches. Now my autistic step son is in 7th grade. Other schools wanted to keep him seperated from normal classes. Jefferson made sure he was in general ed with a teachers aid at his side. If it wasnt for the caring teachers I dont think the students would have been as supportive. Not once has he been bullied or treated beneath another. We put him in Triumph Academy one year and the work was a joke compaired to jeffersons curriculum. I know he will come out of Jefferson and be able to attend college with enough knowledge. I was so worried before. Dont get me wrong, everywhere you go there will be a bad egg or teacher but im proud to say they wont last long at Jefferson. The school lunches are so much healthier than others. Salads are 5 star. God I miss their salads. Bears all the way!

This school is ok. In 7th grade Team A is terrible this year. We get in lots of trouble. Kids bring liters, and b-b's. Now we have only 2 minute breaks. Thats not enough time to do anything. So this schoo is okay! =/

I went to Jefferson 25 years ago. I have two children one of which has graduated and the other is presently attending Jefferson Middle School. I believe we have many good teachers at the middle school. I also believe it isn't all about money. I know for a fact that the teachers have not had a raise in almost 6 years and the first two years of this no pay increase they gave back 1 1/2% each year. The teachers do not have a say in what classes stay and go. They can only do the best they can with what they have to work with. I also was very disappointed with the cut backs of classes offered but the teachers are not the ones to blame for this. Lets look at all districts having finacial difficulties. We all need to support education lets face it these kids are our future.
