Very poor. If I had to do it over again I would have tried to leave sooner, skip grades and do cultural exchanges to get away. I would not raise my kids in this small minded atmosphere.

"Marquette Senior High School has it all. From terrible teachers, to some ""bathroom stalls"" without the actual stall part. We have a hideous courtyard which will make you want to puke, gross lunches that are overpriced, and even a ""school leader"" who I believe did not get a high school diploma. The good teachers we do have are great, but most of the teachers I've had so far have been trash. There is also this beautiful thing called ""Saturday School"" which turns your A-students into Aggravated-students, and your D-students to Dropouts, all because they left school for 1 hour. Along with senseless Saturday school, there are piles upon piles of mostly pointless sheets of work to bring home (aka homework). It's quite perplexing the number of worthless projects one teacher can assign. If you want your children to be stressed, mad, and possibly suicidal, then send them to MSHS, where nightmares come true! P.S. There are a few amazing teachers who could teach all the bad teachers classes sooooooooooooooooo much better"

The only redeeming quality about this school is the teachers-- at least when they can teach. There are teachers here, whose names are excluded for obvious reasons that just cannot teach. They can't explain anything and they cannot even enforce the rules correctly. And when some students are sitting there, at their desks, trying to start typical high school drama they don't do anything! They just stand there. More needs to be done regarding this issue at this school. It happens way too often. Students need to be taught that all of this talk can lead to great hardships for the other students and that is very damaging. The student council is also worthless. They have no power. So, let's look at the rest of the reasons this school just isn't very good. -The failure of teachers to actually teach kids that people have their own problems. -Some of the students are just plain naive. - A minority of the teachers are condescending. - Not enough is done about PDA or bullying rules. - This school treats students like children (although I'm not surprised, given that some of my peers act like them) I'm not saying any of this to be offensive, either, But something needed to be said.

I graduated from here and I think MSHS is an excellent school! There are certainly a few not so great teachers, but the AP teachers are the best. They really care about the students and are absolutely fantastic at what they do. I know people often say how much they hate MSHS, but I think they're just being angsty and would probably say that about any high school they went to. I kind of think you get what you make out of it, so MSHS can either be a great place or a terrible place, depending on how you decide to look at it. Nevertheless, I love this school! Some of the greatest teachers you will ever meet.
