Both of my kids have had amazing experiences with the teachers and staff at the school. The communication between staff and parents is amazing whether it by school email or just simple word of mouth while at the school.

My child attended Magnet for a year before we moved out of state. The program was good and she really enjoyed it and did well. She was transferred to another gifted program at her new school, and I do feel like she's a bit more academically challenged in her new program (which is good). She's also had a lot more opportunity for extracurricular activities that interest and challenge her in her new program (math competitions, student-written newspaper, special national testing, etc.) But she'll be the first to tell you she misses Magnet and it was "more fun". Overall we liked our experience with Roosevelt.

All 3 of my kids attend Roosevelt and I LOVE the teachers and staff at this school. My experiance with Roosevelt started with my daughter, who has been there from K-5th grade and I have never had any complaints. My middle child has dyslexia and dysgraphia and has several problems learning to read and write. When he was in kindergarden I asked for extra help for him because I knew that he did not learn the same as the children his age. As soon as I asked he was tested and extra help has always been provided to him. He is happy and confident of who he is because of all of the amazing staff at Roosevelt.

I have been really impressed by the staff and teachers working at Roosevelt Elementary School. The Principal Dr. Feiten does an excellent job with the kids and families. Long story short I would recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a good teaching environment and family friendly place. Thanks again for your hard work Roosevelt.

5 STARS. This is a good school where the staff maintains a family environment. Mrs. M (Becky) and Miss Julie help the kids get in and out of the cars, at playground and at lunch. These ladies should have halos over their heads! Always a smile on their face in zero degree weather. As does Lisa L. at lunchtime. The principal Dr. Feiten is very loving and involved as are Laura and Lisa in the office. They treat the kids with such love and were very helpful to me during the 1 year we spent there. Mrs. Julie Baeten is an excellent 1st grade teacher, kind compassionate patient and an excellent teacher. Mrs. M is wonderful with reading with your child. All in all pleased with this school. MIss Renee Samuels is wonderful in the resource room. The staff and teachers give it their all. I have a lot of respect for them including Roy the custodian. Great helpful cheerful man who keeps the grounds beautiful. Beautiful playground with delightful lake breezes as well as the building is lovely and solid. There is a lot of local pride here and I am happy that the Sinking Fund passed to keep this gorgeous building and warm staff together for a long time. Thank you for being so kind to us!
