Burton is an amazing school that looks at each child individually and support them. The staff and teachers are caring and compassionate and the Principal is the same. The students do well academically but also socially. We have been extremely happy here and often share that we would never want our children to go anywhere else.

We had such an awful experience at Burton. The principal is just terrible. She tried very hard to derail my daughters education who was only in kindergarten. It was so terrible we decided to buy a new house and move to get away from her. She literally only cares about test scores she does not care about her students at all. She attempted to bully my wife and I and was completely inappropriate in every dealing we had with her. She also lied multiple times and was very dishonest in almost all of our dealings with her. Since we have moved we have talked to many many parents who have had similar problems with her however most choose not to speak out because they fear a backlash against their children especially if they have younger ones coming up. It's a very sad situation and I sincerely hope that the district gets rid of Mrs Krehbiel before she negatively effects hundreds more children's education.

The school was great for my three daughters. I'm a nurse and love the focus on science and economics. In the real world their are more opportunties studying economics and sciences. Many complain that they do not focus enough on Music, Drama, Sports, and Shop but we love that.

I have a grandson that is at Burton. He is very happy there and is learning well. He has some great teachers that have responded very well to his academic needs. At this time I would say that the school is taking the right path to teaching my grandson.

This is a really good school that is undergoing many changes that has caused some challenges. As a parent I am not thrilled with the personalities of a few of the teachers and the behavior of some of the students. I hope that its proposed relocation is to a better facility. Those are my only negatives. I love the programs, activities, communication to parents, parent involvement and the academic programs.
