As a student who has now graduated, I regret nothing more in my life than spending 5 years of my education in this pole barn. Some teachers and nearly all the staff are extremely judgemental a demeaning to students. Their class schedule sets you up to fail in college, not preparing you with AP classes, or any other non-academic classes ie; woodshop, robotics, welding , etc. Chapel on Wednesday and Power Plus was the most positive experience at this school, but my last year there it deteriorated as well. The new staff changed our volunteering in the community just having the students work on the school or having "group time". The school has gone through 5 principals in the last 6 years, 3 of whom got fired or left mid-way through the school year. Also, from when I started 6 years ago, only 1 teacher has been there the entire time in the high school. The good things about this school, are that the sports and drama programs are inclusive, and their science program in the high school is very good thanks to a college professor who teaches it. I am a caring, christian, calvary alumni, and not just trying to bash the school, i just don't want other kids to have the same regret i do about spending my high school education there.

We have been at Calvary for three years, and I am continually impressed by the quality of kids and teachers and administrators there. It's got a family feel to it that my children have thrived in. I feel like they are genuinely fighting for my kids' success inside and outside the classroom, and even for our family as a whole. We are loving the Charlotte Mason curriculum too. Highly recommend this school.

A friend of mine had several children that went here for several years. From what I've heard there are some decent teachers but add a whole the teacher staff is extremely judgemental and have been borderline cruel on occasion. The youngest of the two my friends had enrolled had a small speech impediment and classmates used to tease get relentlessly about that and her weight. The teacher never stopped this behavior abd even made joking comments about it to students. The older girl was made to stand in the corner on several occasions by her teacher. She got pulled into the office and given a lecture because a teacher happened to be driving behind her at one point and noticed she was speeding and told the principle. The principle also told her at another point he thought she would be pregnant by 18 (she just graduated top of her law class last month). All I can say is it was very disturbing to hear how children that weren't deemed "good enough" were treated by a supposed Christian staff. Christianity is about acceptance and helping those around us, not judging and harassing those who need a little guidance. I wouldn't recommend this school if they paid me to.

Calvary is an awesome school.. I went to this school from K-3rd grade and I can honestly say I still miss it I had so many friends and was accepted and I was really challenged even as a third grader(which for me is a good thing:) I loved everything about this school from it's rigorous curriculum to it's small community feel and if my parents could still pay tuition we'd still be there for sure I now attend Cityside as a 7th grader...
