10 out of 10. I Graduated from GHHS, our children graduated from GHHS, had 5 grand Children graduated from GHHS, and have one more grandchild still at GHHS and all had very high opinions of GHHS, as to their time at GHHS, how excellent and fair, excellent, and effective and supportive the teachers were, and really had prepared them well for college and adult life. All gave GHHS a 10 out of 10 ratings (Strongly Agree) except for one out of the nine asked who is 33 years old now and had given a 9 out of 10 rating or dealing effectively with bullying.

As a 2018 graduate of ghhs, I would not recommend enrolling your child here if you are looking for a healthy and comfortable learning environment. There are a vast majority of teachers who are truly amazing and care about the well being and quality of learning students receive, and they deserve that credit. But administration is and will always be a hindrance to the quality of learning and comfortably of the students. In my 4 years I spent at gh there were so many examples of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, and overall unjust punishments brought upon innocent students.Grand Haven has the absolute potential to be a wonderful place to learn and thrive but it will never grow until T Willy (principal) and any of the others in administration who agree with her ethics get off their high horse and take that stick out of their collective ass.Tldr You’re only going to truly thrive at Grand Haven High School if you were born into money, white, straight, and cisgender. (Extra points if you’re male)

Ineffective administration, excessive punishments for students outside the parameters of being straight, white, or cisgender. Teachers may frequently go out of their way to single out and publicly humiliate students and face absolutely no consequences. While other teachers may be kind, inclusive, and caring, this is not the norm.

I have had three children graduate from Grand Haven High School. All of them loved their school and their teachers. As a parent, I am thankful for the wonderful education that all three of them received. Our youngest has just finished her Master's degree. She has always loved to learn and that is because she has had wonderful teachers.

A very highly supported high school and educational system by the community and parents etc and the various school rating venues notice and reflect it. GHHS is a very fine top ranking school of learning and adult development academically for college and/or the student's adult life. Also has been awarded nearly every year for being the best in "sportsmanship" in the state in their athletic programs and that also says something. The team's in the entire school district are coached as being "a Family" and that's just how the teams act from grade school thru high school. GHHS is a quite large public high school with an enrollment of between 1800 and 2000 yearly for grades 9 thru 12 on it's more than 100 acre huge campus. Yet has a very good teacher/student ratio as that's important. GHHS has a very rich history of state and national championships and honors in both academics and sports programs now and over it's close to 150 year existence. I'm also extremely proud to be a graduate of Grand Haven High School many many years ago. What a great foundation was learned there which set the tone for a very happy and productive adult life! Winning in life starts early!
