Talk about a nightmare scenario. The president and middle school director along with the help of the school psychologist forced me to withdraw my child from this school in the middle of the year. We were given a choice when the president counseled us out of the school: withdraw our son or face eventual expulsion. With no easy choice, we withdrew our child who has Autism/Aspergers Syndrome. This sudden change sent our child into a tailspin. Thank You Roeper administration for the stress, mental anguish, and emotional down spiral inflicted on our child and family. Job well done! George and Ann Marie are proud of you!

This school is an incredible resource for the community and I don't know what my family would have done without it. If you suspect your child is gifted, I hope you will reach out to them to see if it is a good fit for your child. It is a place that supports the educational, emotional and social needs of gifted students with a foundation in humanistic values and progressive education. It is a special place and I am so grateful my children are able to attend.

This campus houses both Middle and High schools. Superior academic program; strong student-teacher relationships conducive to learning; math placement based on ability, not age/grade; 100% college bound; strong college counseling program; students are empowered to make decisions within a structured guidance system to provide limits; rich elective courses in all disciplines in all grades: 6-12. Roeper is a nationally respected school for gifted students. Construction has begun on a capital project to add a learning commons and state of the art library. This school is a gem! I'm a parent of two alums. Www. roeper.org

My experience at Roeper has been actually quite amazing... until middle school. My lower school experience was amazing (thanks in part by the head J.J. Morrow, when he left part of the school spirit left too), middle school just seemed unorganized. From going to my head with concerns of teachers not following the philosophy, to going to my head with concerns of students saying they are going to cut girl's lips off so they cannot kiss any other guys; going into the office made me realize at Roeper you can use your voice, but nothing will happen when you use it. The administration is completely immature and the board serves no purpose, as when you have an issue there is no where to turn. If you have a problem, you will most likely be kicked out of school. In the past five years, Roeper has turned into a different school, completely to the fault of the administration.

A place where kids truly learn. The depth of programming, variety of class options, very small class sizes, and highly qualified teachers create an environment where actual education can take place. Students learn to take responsibility for their own lives and education. I was astounded to see how many of the teachers have PhDs. In many ways high school at Roeper is more comparable to college.
