My experience at this school was great. Infinitely better than my experience at a local public school which was rampant with cliques and bullying. These problems were non existent at John Bapst. Cudos to the school's administration for its hard work at making the school an inclusive community while still promoting strong academics and a broad range of extracurricular activities.

I couldn't be more disappointed with the low moral values of the students at John Bapst.

I want all parents to understand that John Bapst is no different than any other high schools in the area. They struggle with the same issues that all high schools do. What they are better at is promoting what they do well and hiding what they don't. When one hides problems, one can not address and fix them. John Bapsts' image is very important to them. For them perception is reality. If you are considering John Bapst and you are a parent, talk to people who have kids there. Get the facts not the fiction. It is not the school it use to be.

A few EXCELLENT teachers mixed in with a whole bunch of below average ones. I felt as a student many teachers instead of teaching students concepts and the fundamentals of learning and coming to their own conclusions they were pushy and clearly had an agenda especially of the social/political persuasion.

John Bapst will forever be a treasure to me. I transferred at the end of my junior year. The reason for this was because I had become disengaded with the style of teaching. Yet, My sister stayed all four years. In my new school, I was miles away from my peers and had wonderful writitng and science skills. John Bapst did prepare me for college yet, it wanted me to become more like my sister who was honor society, AP Bio student, etc. I was not like that and still am not. John Bapst is styled for a certain person who likes to not only be challenged but competitive also. It is a wonderful school and I would still suggest it to anyone who is looking for a challenging school.
