Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical Ratings & Reviews

I would say its pretty good considering the grading is very easy specially has half the GPA comes from shops, it has 1 or 2 AP classes and it's a great school for somebody who is not getting a education beyond High School but if you want to go to college, this is not a good school. I regret attending this school.

Blue Hills Technical School is the way all schools of the future ought to be. It prepares your children for the real world, giving them much needed vital life skills and all means to gain a strong academic grounding for those who wish to pursue a college degree. The traditional school model of lecturing students for the entire day with very limited interaction and hands-on experience from Kindergarten to the PhD is failing, obsolete, and teaches them to be lazy and irresponsible. With Blue Hills, students grow independent and socially responsible. Well prepared to integrate the professional world and to become leaders in their fields. proud parent :)

My school is a good vocational school and prepares students for a trade in the real world. The education is crammed due to having shop every other week and doesn't give students enough grades in academics to accurately show there education. Most kids who attend this school don't plan on college because there vocational education can set them up for a bright future. I am a cosmetology student and have one of the best teachers in the state Mrs.Fredendall who is a great cosmo teacher and teaches us to have a great attitude and makes sure we know how important a sanitized work area is. My favorite teacher is Mr.Balas who was a special education teacher track and football coach who gives students and athletes motivation but retired last year.

Blue Hills Regional Technical School is a "Great School". We are working hard at rehabilitating our Athletic Fields and $5,000 would help us to achieve this goal. We have a fantastic athletic program for all our students and our fields are in need of help!

I am a graduate of Blue Hills, and while there I loved every second. For the first half of Freshman year you will get to expirience different shops and what they have to offer, and then you will get the chance to pick your permanent shop, which you will have every other week. The academic teachers prep you well for college and the Shop teachers prep you well for the trade you chose. I personally didn't stick with Electrical when I graduated but it had nothing to do with the school system or teachers. I highly reccomend this school to anyone looking for a great enviornment and teachers who truly care about the wellfare of the children.
