My daughter is in seven grade. She lives the MAX. She has come along way from reading at second grade level to on her level she now on level with math. Last I leap she made all basics.. The MAX is a good excellent school for dyslexia..

After telling me this is where my child belonged in the 2nd grade, and they would do whatever it takes to figure out how to help her learn, all of a sudden, out of the blue, new director tells me at the beginning of my child's 4th grade year, LEAP year, there was nothing more they could do for her, and I should put her in a different school. Hum, think it had something to do with their failing grade? My daughter has learned more in her new school in one year than she did at MAX!!! She could barely read when she left MAX, but now reads chapter books. In addition, now she can add, subtract, multiply and divide, she couldn't do any of that with out a calculator at MAX. If you have a child with learning disabilities, I highly recommend Oakshire Elementary over MAX. The teachers are more dedicated to helping a child succeed.

This is an EXCELLENT school designed specifically for children with dyslexia or other similar language-related learning differences. The school offers a highly structured curriculum that is sequential, research-based, and cumulative, and is delivered through direct, explicit instructional techniques that incorporate all modalities of learning. The teachers are dedicated, committed, and highly trained professionals. The credentials of the principal/director of the school are outstanding, and her passion for serving this type of unique population is unsurpassed. This school is a blessing to our community .

For a school for children with learning difficulties, one day called me in, told me there was nothing more they could do for my child and told me to take him out and send him to a different school. So much for them being there to help children with learning difficulties.
