NPES is phenomenal. I have two children who attend. One who is going into the 1st grade, and one who is going into the 3rd grade for the 2014-2015 school year. There is not one administrator, teacher, aide, or employee in that school that isn t passionate about the kids. I visited several times throughout the school year last year, and I was never disappointed with what I saw. Furthermore, the new principal is amazing. He draws the kids in and get them excited about learning! This school family has been such a blessing to us!

We have a son in the third grade at NPE. We moved to NKY six months ago and our son was previously in private school. I was not only nervous about moving to a new area, but for my son starting at a public school for the first time. I have been very pleased with the experience at NPE thus far. The new principal is absolutely fantastic. He really cares about the students and is always looking for feedback from the parents. The teachers and staff are always friendly and any concerns I've had with my son's education has always been welcomed by his teacher. I am so glad we are in a good school and look forward to my other kids to go to NPE in the future.

We moved our family to this district specifically for our children to go to North Pointe Elementary, we now totally regret this move!! Our son, who is in 1st grade, has been bullied by bigger kids, been made to feel bad because he "takes twice as long to finish his math", he's received a disciplinary mark for "reading out loud to loudly", and his teacher has no problem communicating that information to me but she failed to inform me that another student pushed him down causing him to hit his head and have to got to nurse's to get ice! I mean it really is ridiculous!! She disregards parent concerns, doesn't respond to inquiries, nor is she willing to accept suggestions from parents regarding their own children! And the gym teacher is even worse! Total lack of communication between parents and teachers. I finally requested a meeting with principal and she just tells you what you want to hear and the plan we made to help my son, was nothing more than words. This school cares about fundraisers and test scores, not individual children. We are moving out of this district on March. Please don't just choose a school based on test scores! Big mistake that your children will have to pay for!

I have had children at NP for the past 5 yrs. I have been fortunate to be able to volunteer there, so have really seen a lot of what goes on behind the scenes. My children are receiving quality education in a very safe environment. The classroom teachers AND specials teachers are fantastic. NP offers much more than some of the other schools; both public and private both in the classroom as well as extra-curricular. We have had a recent a change in adminsitration and things continue to look up. While our past administrator may have rubbed a few parents the wrong way, there are two sides to every story and there are obvious holes in a previous negative post. While all decisions may have not been popular, I find it highly unlikely any child has been mistreated while in the care of NP staff. This would simply not be tolerated.

My Son and Daghter go to this school and have for 2 school years now. The principal does not think about the childrens best interest and all he cares about is numbers test scores etc. When my daughter was struggling with her school work he made her eat lunch in a dark room by herself and then put her head down. when i asked him about it he said it is his school and he will run it as he see's fit. And now calls her 'lunch room girl'! To me this is cruel and unusual treatment!
