I had 3 students attend over the course of 4 years. All of their teachers were hard working and genuinely cared about the student's success. Our elementary teachers were always aware of each student's needs and easy to communicate with. The gifted program was especially great for my daughter. Great opportunities for STEM learning and my kids especially loved project lead the way (PLTW). My middle schooler enjoyed the after school clubs like lego robotics and the technology student association. The middle school also has a fantastic music program. I personally enjoyed the K-8 all in one school simply for convenience, but I can understand how it would bother some middle school students. We have moved to a place with overcrowded and underfunded schools. I know my kids had the best education possible at CMA--I wish we could have stayed longer!

I think it is a good quality elementary school but cannot say as much for the middle school experience. The school is diverse and there are many good teachers. The negative to the K-8 concept is that the middle school has no identity of it's own. The PTO is shared with the elementary and elementary needs and wants are the primary focus of activities, fundraisers and events. The middle school kids are relegated to events that are geared towards elementary age kids, even spirit weeks are decided on and coordinated with the Elementary, most middle school students are beyond wanting to dress up for "Disney Character" day. Because it is a smaller school it is run by a small clique of parents and their children are definitely favorites of the administration and teachers and coaches. As for the positives, I think the academic side of the school is strong and the band program is also very good but will not choose this course for middle school for my younger child,, glad my 8th grader is graduating this year. LIve and learn as they say.
