Highly accredited, excellent experienced faculty, individual attention, Christ-centered education.

St. John's is a close-knit, caring school community, providing a strong foundation in both academics and Catholic values. I would not want my children to attend school anywhere else. There is a strong mix of both new and experienced faculty who are all deeply concerned with the success of their students. The school's smaller size mean that there are more opportunities for students to be involved in athletics and other programs. Both my older 2 sons are on the football team, and they are both able to get a lot of playing time and feel like an important part of the team. Our principal also greets the students by name almost every morning as they enter school. She is readily approachable and available to all parents. Parents also have the opportunity to be involved in Home and School Association or the School Board, because of St. John's smaller size.

My son and daughter have gone here for years. My son who is now in the 5th grade is struggling after being a strainght A student. I have gone to the school and held a parent teacher conference that I had to initiate to come up with a game plan. The teachers do not believe in working with the parents to help the child, to keep the communication lines open nor do they notify when there is a problem. They do not help boys get organized they expect them to be that way. I am very dissappointed with this school and will not send my son there next year.

I graduated from St. John's in 2006. I'd transferred there from another Catholic school one fourth of the way through my eighth grade year. As for the students I met, they were really nice and accepted me relatively quickly. But the parents and teachers are extremely clique-ish and did not accept me at all. Their severely narrowminded. I came from Benoit Academy, a school primarily made up of black kids (even though I wasn't black.) Their opinions were formed and grew from that, which, in my opinion, was not very Christian-like or even considerate. I was an 'outsider' to them the whole time I was there. The academics are okay, nothing extraordinarily special. I got less personal attention than I did from my other school. The teachers are around average to a little above.
