This school has its ups and downs. Like the principal isn't the best and half the time u don't know what he's saying. Some teacher don't care about anything and don't know how to teach. I had a friend in class that was dripping blood from her period and the teacher didn't let her go to the bathroom. There's only 2 teachers that i had this last year that i enjoyed going to their class. Also bullying is sort of a problem at this school. It's mostly disrespect. I am shorter than most kids in my grade and people would come by my locker and say stuff about my height. Everyday at least once i got offended by my height. DONT MOVE YOU KIDS HERE. I have seen new kids move here. They never fit in. Most new kids leave the next year because they don't make friends. Not a good school!! But we do have good sports. Coaches are really good and hard working!!

I graduated from Leo last year. I would LOVE for my children to attend this school. My memories at Leo are some of my most treasured. It is such a little community and everyone knows everyone and I wouldn't trade that for the world. My heart lives in the town of Leo-Cedarville and the school will always have a part in that. The only issue I ever experienced was that I had some issues when it came to sports and the politics/favorites that were present in them. Also, Dr. Brown......I have no words other than brutal ones for him. He needs out of there. He is a horrible leader and he ruined the fun in school that Dr. Daniels used to bring all the other students. Other than Brown, all of the staff made it amazing. Of course there are bad teachers here and there, but over all, I would go through high school all over again if I could go there once more. As far as these bullying accusations, I have some things to say. I come from a lower class family. I was popular in high school. Not popular as in being pretty and rich. I was popular because I was friends with everyone. I wasn't just friends with "popular" folk. I was friends with the rich, the lower class, the jocks, the band members, the club members, the academic focused students, the disabled, the outgoing people, the quiet people, the hand-fed people, and the hard workers. I have seen and witnessed all angles. I have never in my education career witnessed bullying AT Leo High School. I've seen people teased behind their back (and that is wrong) but that happens everywhere. Aside from that, Ive NEVER seen it or heard of it. I've witnessed it on social media, but it's not just from Leo students. It's from students everywhere. If you don't want to send your child to a school that has a "bullying problem", you better homeschool them. EVERY SCHOOL IN AMERICA has bullies. At Leo, it wasnt bullying, rather it was mostly two-way drama. It's high school. Of course there's going to be drama. Now if you're child is actually being bullied (aka pushed, verbally abused due to innocence, taunted) and you know for a FACT that your child isn't doing the same back, then I am sorry that your child had to go through that. I'm very sorry to hear that because that is horrible and disgusting. But this is NOT common. Just a heads up for people looking from the outside, in.

I've been attending schools in the EACS district ever since I have started school. From Kindergarten to third grade, I enjoyed going to school. When I switched to Leo Elementary, my experience was nowhere close to good. People would tease you for the dumbest things, such as looks. I've always been teased for having blonde hair and I've been called dumb just because "I'm a blonde". The three years at Leo Elementary were a living hell for me and now that I'm just attending Leo Junior/Senior High School, it's even worse. Parents who are considering switching their child(ren) to Leo, don't. I'm not saying that every person at Leo is rude and inconsiderate, but if you want your child(ren) going to a school where they are teased for things such as them having a disability or not having two parents at home to care and provide for them, I wouldn't waste your time.

Achedemicaly, the school has been good. My children have had thier troubles in elementary and Jr. High, but it has gotten better for both in High School. High School teachers seem caring, compassionate and will help my children if they ask. I feel they will be ready for college.Fitting in is a whole different story! Many parents and their kids are judementsl! Do not join cheer leading unless you want to be part of a Mom's gossip group! They are mean! I witnessed a coach that had gotten sick and had to leave because of it. These mom's hated her! Gossipped like school children about her! It was awful! Years later, they would even give her dirty looks at games and start whispering. That is where the kids get it from. One of my kids is in Color guard with the marching band. She absolutely loves it! The kids and their parents are very nice. The band director has a wonderful passion and compassion. I can not say enough about the program. I have heard the drama program is very welcoming too.Every school has it's issues and yes we have had ours! The principal is not anyone's favorite and definitely not a good fit for our school. We are in a rual community outside of Fort Wayne. There is a lot of money here. This principle came from the inner city with much more diversity, fighting, a totally different atmosphere. There is a lot of bullying and harassing in this school, but every school has it. It is not handled well here. I would hope they would take things more serious and start cracking down on their zero tolerance. I hate hearing about kids suffering from other kids. It is not OK.You will find wonderful teachers who really care about their students. They will help if the students ask. It actually makes them realize how hard the student is working no matter their grade.

First of all, I'm sad for all children who have been bullied. This is never good. I have to say that if that happens to my child, ALL of my children will go to another school. I would not continue to let my children be in an environment that I think is detrimental - regardless of their extra-curricular activities. We are not from this area and have been very welcomed by the community and the school. We do monitor how our children are doing and keep the communication going between the admins and the teaches. I would recommend the Leo schools and strongly encourage parents to be actively involved in your child's school - where ever they attend.
